And you think the Bengals will be in playoff form next year lol.

Not a way to start the offseason with making your supposed "FRANCHISE QB" unhappy.
I don't now, that's why I won't even bother watching. It'll be a waste of time & money. I'll find something else to watch.

I don't see why.

Bob Bratkowski wasn't going to be fired anyways.
Why? Because we have an owner that doesn't do what's best for the team to win, that's why. He doesn't care about winning, that's all there is to it. You are right, he won't be fired because it's Mike Brown, if it were any other team, he would have been fired two or three years ago. With no change, I can see why Carson wants out, he knows it won't be any better in the years ahead.

Umm... The Bengals and that offense went to the playoffs in 2009. You can't exactly say he should of been fired years ago.

Yeah, because of the defense, surely wasn't because of the offense. We just had an easy schedule and took advantage of it. The past three-four years the offense has been ranked 20th or worse and you think that's good enough to actually do something throughout the regular season and playoffs? All we did in 2009 was run the ball, caught a lot of teams by surprise. Our offense has sucked since '07.

Actually, the 2009 Bengals offense got the ball late in the 4th down by however many points, and would come back and win. The defense kept it close, the offense however finished the game in 2009. The Bengals had like "come back" victories over the first half of their schedule.

Yeah and you know why? Because of the no huddle, Palmer calling his own plays.

This comment by Mike Brown is interesting though....

“We’ll just have to see how it plays out,” Brown said. “We’ll reach out to him and understand the things that are in his craw. Maybe there are things we can do that will appeal to him. We’ll try to and see whether we can get it fit back together again in the future.”

Hmmm wonder what that means, exactly.

Palmer's agent David Dunn: "Carson strongly feels that a separation between him and Bengals would be in the best interest of both parties."

Today, Mike Brown drew his line in the sand and made this statement on Twitter that "We are not trading Carson". He also confirmed what we reported, that Carson did approach him about the possibility of a trade.

As we told you yesterday, Carson's agent gave Brown a list of 3 teams he would like to go to if a trade were to happen. There are reports floating around today that say Carson had a long list of demands. I can tell you this is not the fact. As we reported, what Carson wanted was a new OC and commitment to improve the offense! And he hasn't gotten it. People have taken the list of demands that were attributed to Marvin and now made them Carson's. He nor his agent asked for a GM, scouts, etc. Those who are reporting that are very much mistaken.

But, as I said, Mike is standing his ground as we now know there will be no trade AND no new OC, because he took the idea of bringing Childress in off the table. Chilly will not be a Bengal! Mike is growing very hostile as of late. We can tell you that any idea of meaningful changes have been tossed aside. He is more than content with the current state of affairs, and see's not reason to change. Marvin and Carson have tried to take stand, but in the end, Mike holds all the cards!

Mike Brown is about to make me go crazy! I've never been so frustrated in my life as a Bengals fan.

Well, this is a bit worrisome. This is a guy that called for Palmer's trade/leave about three weeks before it was announced..... And it happened.... Now he says this:
As far as all these "CP will be back", and "maybe MB will make the changes" threads---I wouldn't hold your breath for him to come back. CP is done in stripes...

Palmer Note
Our contacts in the front office tell us the Mike Brown is attempting to set up a meeting for the first week of February. The meeting, if it's able to be scheduled successfully, would involve Mike, Marvin, Katie and Troy, Carson and his agent David Dunn. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the direction of the team and the current situation between Palmer and the organization. The sources say that Mike wants to get everyone on the same page going forward. As soon as we find out anything more about this possible meeting and when it might happen, we will let you know!

Mike Brown considering OC change?
As we reported yesterday, Mike Brown is trying to arrange a meeting for this week between the Bengals and the Palmer camp. Mike wants the meeting to be face to face, but we hear now that it may happen over the phone.

Early this morning, we were notified by our contacts that both Marvin Lewis and Katie Blackburn have been lobbying over the last 3 days for Mike to consider a change at OC as an olive branch to Palmer and the fan base. Remember that we reported a couple weeks ago that after the season ended, Marvin wanted a new OC and Mike did not. Marvin offered the promotion of Ken Zampese as a compromise, but it was shot down at the time. Then Mike gave permission to Marvin to offer Childress a consultant's position, but after Marvin ask to offer him the OC job, Mike pulled the rug completely on Chilly.

Now, and much to my surprise, we are hearing that Mike is pondering the possibility of promoting Ken Zampese to OC. Our contacts say this is happening for 3 reasons: the situation with Carson being unhappy about Bratkowski being retained, the pressure from Marvin and Katie, and the fact that Zampese has drawn a lot of interest from other clubs over the last 2 years, including the Bears, Rams and Falcons.

While this news is surprising, I have to caution fans not to jump the gun and get too optimistic. The fact that Mike is considering the move is miles away from a move actually being made. I am still shocked to find out he is even considering a possible move, knowing his loyalty to Brat.

While my contacts seem to feel this move is gaining steam in the wake of the Palmer developments, I still have my doubts. The fact that Mike is considering it is a small victory in itself, but for him to actually make the move would shock me at this point. If I'm wrong and the move does indeed happen, then the fan base should give a big "Thank You" to Carson, Marvin and Katie for ending the Brat regime!

As I stated, I personally would not get excited about this news yet, because Mike also allowed Chilly to be offered a position, only to change his mind later. So, take this for what it is, a piece of info that is still in the very early stages. We will stay on top of this and share any new info we find out as soon as we get it!
Ahhh man, why do people have to keep getting my hopes up? *prays*

Everybody not a Bengals fan knew he was going to ask for a trade.

NO REAL SHOCKER THERE.
