Yankees general manager Brian Cashman doesn't believe that his team in the best in the American League East.

When asked by Mike Francesa of WFAN in New York which team was better, Cashman said: "Red Sox. But we have better bullpen."

Yeah, I don't know what the fuck this guy is doing, he's been saying the stupidest shit lately. We need to get this guy out of here now, not wait until his contract is up at the end of this season.

Fire this dude and bring somebody else in.

He was well aware of how good Soriano is, he just wanted to keep the draft pick.

LOL at saying the Yankees have a better bullpen. Their pen is good, but not better than Boston. It's only "the best" because they have Rivera

That's like saying the Lions are better than the Packers because DET has the #1 DT in the NFL

the Sox have so much depth that it's crazy. NYY would love to take some of the guys like Andrew Miller, who will be either cut or in AAA because we have too many good relievers

smh Yankee fans

Your bullpen is is no way, shape, or form better than the Yankees.

Mariano Rivera, Rafael Soriano, Pedro Feliciano (one of the best left-handed specialists in the MLB), Boone Logan (had a 2.93 ERA for the season and a 2.08 ERA post All-Star break), Joba Chamberlain (2.88 ERA post All-Star break), David Robertson (2.27 ERA post All-Star break), etc...

We have one of the best bullpens in the game, the Red Sox bullpen is pretty bad.

Andrew Miller won't be cut or in AAA because you have too many good relievers, he'll be cut or put in AAA because he's horrible, he has a 5.84 career ERA. He's a major bust.

Papelbon<Rivera
Bard≤Soriano
Jenks> Joba
Wheeler>Logan
Doubrunt>Robertson
Okajima> Mitre

and BOS still has Wakefield, Albers, Miller, Atchison

btw you are a complete idiot if you think Feliciano is a top LHP

More like

Papelbon <<< Rivera
Bard < Soriano
Jenks < Joba
Wheeler = Logan
Doubront < Robertson
Okajima = Mitre

Pedro Feliciano is one of the best left-handed specialists in the league and there's no doubt about it. Lefties hit like .210 against him this season.

bosox, I love to hate on the Yanks as much as the next guy but can't argue this one. Feliciano has held lefties consistently, or over the last 3-4 years, to around a .210 BA. Will it be that good in the AL East? Maybe not. But that's still pretty filthy

Yeah what Baggs said, our Bullpen is decent and Bard is become one of the best relivers in the game, but doesn't match up to the Yankees'.

Either way there is no denying that Chamberlain hasn't lived up to all of his hype.

I can't wait for the day that Pat Venditte is ready to be called up smh. All Bullpen discussion end there when this guy is ready, we would technically have an extra lefty and an extra righty with this guy.
