C: Dwight Howard > Tim Duncan
F: Dirk Nowitzki < Amare Stoudemire
F: Carmelo Anthony < LeBron James
G: Dwyane Wade < Kobe Bryant
G: Chris Paul > Rajon Rondo
C: Joakim Noah < Al Horford
F: Pau Gasol > Kevin Garnett
F: Chris Bosh > Josh Smith
F: Blake Griffin > Kevin Love
F: Paul Pierce < Danny Granger
G: Deron Williams < Steve Nash
G: Russell Westbrook < Derrick Rose
Deron Williams is the best point guard in the game and the fact that he isn't starting in the All-Star game is embarrassing, NBA fans are a joke. Sorry, but Nash's time to shine is over...fixed. Nash one is personal, i would actually say they are equal, but either way, Team B.
And his defense is terrible, which closes the gap right there. Not to mention that the uptempo pace the Suns play in inflates his numbers.you are listening to hearsay and looking at team statistics. He plays defense, he may not be the best, but he does play.
And if you want to look at stats...
Deron Vs Nash
21.7 ppg on 45% shooting(37% 3s) vs 17 ppg on 52% shooting(39% 3s)
9.5 apg(3.4 turnovers) vs 10.9 apg(3.6 turnovers)
3.7 rpg vs 3.7 rpg
1.2 spg vs 0.7 spg
so lets look at some math
starting
21.7 - 17
add assists(we will count as 2.2 per assist assuming one of every 10 goes for a three... that stat would be much higher in nash's case but we will keep as is)
42.6(+20.9) - 41(+23.98 rounded to 24)
add rpg(we will say since these are the same, it will be +4
46.6(+4) - 45(+4)
add spg (we will add 1 point per steal, as most teams overall shoot under 50%)
47.8(+1.2) - 45.7(+.7)
so would you rather take a +47.8 on 45% shooting where he takes 15 shots a games or would you take a +45.7 on 52% shooting 11.6 shots a game. That is an addition 3.5 shots a game to make up a 2.1 point difference. I would still take nash over williams right now.
seriously watch him play defense. Just because he doesn't get steals doesn't mean he is bad. His defense is not seen in stats, and it is under-rated, but by no means is it great. Utah's style is built for Deron Williams, so that argument is invalid. And his defense is terrible, which closes the gap right there.
