SportsNetThe B.C. Lions have lost one of their best receivers to the National Football League.
Emmanuel Arceneaux has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, Vancouver radio station CKWX is reporting Saturday.
The deal is reportedly worth $1.8 million and includes a $75,000 signing bonus.
The B.C. Lions offered Arceneaux a six-figure contract, believed to be around $120,000.
Arceneaux worked out for eight teams over the last two weeks and the decision came down to the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears.
Last season with the Lions, Arceneaux caught 67 passes for five touchdowns and 1,114 yards.
Worth a shot I suppose. Low-risk/high reward type thing.
