My story is very similar bro..

Got a basketball schollie to Arkansas Tech, and blew it over smoking pot. I didn't even make it to the second practice of my freshman year.
I have no regrets, I lived it up. I have been in a good place for a long time and trust me, the Army is stuffed full of great athletic talent. People always wonder why the Army's football team is so bad & I tell them it's because the Army's best football players are not the ones who are sitting at the service academy. I actually went through basic training with the #3 ranked runningback out of Florida in 2001...but he got himself into a lot of trouble in high school & was basically told by a judge: "Army or u'll end up Jail".

I thought they got rid of the D2 D3 thing and converted it all to D1-A D1-AA and so on. I'm probably confused but what did they change it to?

Haha wow.

I however have a ton of regrets. I failed a drug test and screwed up a free ride through college even if I was probably going to warm the bench the entire time. Looking back I wish I would have been more serious and taken pride in being recruited by 5 schools to play ball.

But in retrospect if things didn't all pan out the way they did I probably wouldn't be looking at my beautiful 2 month old baby girl sleeping on the couch next to me who shares the same birthday I do. So for that I am happy.

Actually what they got rid of was D1-A and D1-AA, D1-A (aka schools like Texas, Alabama, Oregon, ect) became the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and D1-AA became the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS)because we have a playoff system. But D2 and D3 are still out their because 90% would get killed if they moved up to FCS

I actually know of a pretty shitty college fail story....

I coach youth football with a guy who was defensive back at William & Mary...and he was pretty good. He got hurt his junior year and that opened the door for one, Mike Tomlin, to take the field. Well Mike played so well that he never gave that spot back up & now he's leading the Steelers to yet another potential Super Bowl Championship.

As for my guy, he lives well, great guy...but he's no NFL Head Coach.

Well, being somewhat of a Steelers fan I'm kinda glad it happened that way. Am I wrong? Lol.

It's not even a problem with the new guy. I welcome him and his debates and opinions to this board. However, its pretty silly watching people go balls deep over some shit. Sad if I must say so myself.

I'm not being a douche to him or any new member, just sticking to my routine and being a douche to the old members :) KAMLIVES.
