Phil Jackson doesn't believe the Heat will be able to get past the Celtics in the Eastern Conference.

"I personally don't think they can get by Boston," Jackson told Max Kellerman on 710 ESPN. "I think Boston is too good a team. I think a team is still going to win.

"But there's a chance that [the Heat] ... can maybe round themselves into a team by that time and [win].

"Boston is older and they have to go through the rest of the schedule without having some kind of breakdown of players. [Ray] Allen and [Kendrick] Perkins, etc., they are just really a good team.

"But there's nothing like the great athletic skill and dynamism that [James and Wade] have and [Chris] Bosh is a terrific player in his own right. There's no doubt about their individual skills."

Dude needs to stfu. He's pretty much conceding defeat to the Celtics this season if he thinks that the team that embarrassed his on their own court can't get past them.

well, the celtics have if not the best defense in the nba when they decide to play and lock it up.
plus, they know what it takes to stop lebron, since they have done it in the past. only thing that is different is now, lebron has wade as his side kick. but i think the c's will beat the heat come playoff time. just too many weapons and experience.

He's just trying to stir shit up as usual. He likes attention and when he starts feeling lonely he runs his mouth and makes the evening news.

Wade, LeBron, Bosh can't play mad? Lmao. I've seen Wade go on rampages when he's mad in the past and flat out dominate a game. LeBron has already done it numerous times this year, your Lakers were on the short end of the stick on one of those.

Oh, finally a "Heat Fan" that took that Christmas game seriously. Most others I know and saw didn't put too much into that game because it was obvious the Lakers didn't care too much about it. Even a friend of mine who's a die-hard Laker Hater & Heat Fan doesn't think too much about it. The Lakers never really play well or motivated on Holidays. The Heat were the ones that came out with fire and acted like they have something to prove. One-sided game on all sides.

Anyway, still waiting for the playoffs. I've said it many times before, the Heat are probably going to be a good/great regular season team, but once it's playoff time and time to play with the big boys and everyone gets serious, we'll see how things go. Still don't see them as a true playoff championship team.

There a reason why Heat fan is in quotes?

I'm so sick of fans saying their team didn't try in a game. They're professional athletes, they give it their all every night (except for a few bad seeds in every sport). Have you ever thought that they got beat because the other team was just better? It seems like whoever won the game can't just win because they're the better team, there is always excuses.

Of course you don't see them as a true playoff championship team, you're a Lakers fan. People just don't want to see them succeed, much like yourself, which is why they don't think they will.

I'm so sick of fans saying their team didn't try in a game. - lol bro, like I said HEAT fans were the ones even saying that shit. You're one of very few I've seen that is actually putting some substance into that game. Many others don't think too much of it because even they saw that the Lakers didn't care as much as the Heat did.

Also *sigh* Are you new? I've been over this many times before on this site. If you want me to dissect your team, I will dissect your team. I'm not just a Lakers fan, I'm a basketball fan. I don't even give a shit about the Heat or Lebron that much for that matter, as a team I just don't see how they'll get past the bigger teams in the East. I hate the Celtics way more than I care about the Heat, but even then I see the Celtics as the better team.

Dwayne Wade agrees. In an interview on ESPN he said

I agree. The Miami Heat have been together for 47 games. The Boston Celtics have been together for 300 games plus finals.
