"This is non-news. The only team that will get Melo is the Nets."

Stop. You wanted Melo so badly. This is awful for the Nets, as of right now their franchise has no future.

For it to be dead, wouldn't it have to actually be alive at some point?

YES! Maybe the Knicks can offer the Nuggets something they like.

The Nuggets are gonna have to lower their standards on what they are wanting in return.

The talks are finally over....i'm happy. All this talk going nowhere, props to Father Russia for ending it. Even though he could still go to the Nets when Denver wakes up.

What don't you get?

you are such a douchebag. You turn on your team in one second....

He doesnt want to sign with almost any team in the league except for the Knicks and Bulls, he isnt very reluctant to sign with the Nets, the Nuggets dont like the trade package assembled by the Knicks and they are asking for way too much for a player that is obviously going to free agency if he doesnt get traded. The Nuggets want a ton of draft picks, but thats not going to happen. -- FPS Quote
Your response?
Let me guess, you've read too many Sheridan and Hahn reports...
not to mention your post:

We have Stephen "And-1 for the other team" Graham and Travesty Outlaw as our starting wings.

We'll be around as good as the Knicks/Hawks with this deal, but CP3 will be a FA once Billups leaves.
Seems like you had this fantasy of Melo and CP3 in New Jersey -- now all of a sudden you're happy? Why, because you won't be destroying your future and your draft picks? But then of course you once said:

The future?

Who gives a fuck about the future?

Look at how that's worked for Minny, Portland and LAC so far...

They stink and will continue to stink.

Seriously, just stfu already. Stick by your fucking word for ONCE in your life.

How do the Nets have no future? lmao That's ignorant as fuck.

Brook Lopez and Derrick Favors can be two all-star caliber players and Derrick Favors has superstar potential. The sole reason he went as high as he did was because of his potential, he's extremely raw right now. Not to mention Devin Harris who is still young and is an above-average PG.

Then they have about a million draft picks in the next couple years and are going to have another good one this season.

I think this is good news for the Nets. I mean they get to keep Favors, Harris, multiple 1st round draft picks.

Well yeah, without trading for Melo they still have a great future ahead. If they traded for Melo, not so much. Sacrificing multiple 1sts, young players like Favors in the trade, as well as paying the salaries of Melo, Rip, Chauncey and Al Harrinton (who the Nuggets were trying to get the Nets to take on as well, I believe) which hurts them in terms of trying to sign CP3 down the road, as well as signing those draft picks and more players to go on the bench.

But since they didn't trade for Melo, they're future is pretty darn bright now, in my opinion. The club has already improved upon last season and they're incredibly young.

He's saying this because of how public the deal got... If the Nuggets call up the Nets tomorrow and tell them they want to do the deal they had proposed before, they'll start talking again...

Brook Lopez better not make an All-Star team until he learns how to rebound. A 7'0" center, playing over 34 MPG should not be getting less than 6 RPG. Shit is a joke.

Good, I cannot stand how the Nuggets are holding the fucking league hostage with their negotiations. I understand holding out for the best deal but they're taking it a little too far and for too long. I read a lot of what Prokhov said and he's clearly irritated with the uncertainty and added stress it has put on the team and it's staff. I couldn't agree more. How long should half ur team have to sit and wonder if tomorrow, they suddenly have to pack their shit and head to Denver?

This could also mean the asking price isn't as high...being that the longer he goes untraded, the Nuggets might start to sweat a little bit. I would much rather see Melo playing in front of the home crowd at MSG anyways. What could would Melo have been to a team that literally has to trade away everything they've got him? Melo would be out of his prime by the time the Nets were able to put enough good players around him.
