Raiders promoted OC Hue Jackson to head coach, as expected.
Jackson becomes Al Davis' seventh coach in the last decade. He was handpicked by Davis to run Tom Cable's offense last offseason, improving the unit from 31st to 10th in yards and 31st to sixth in points. Jackson has been credited with helping to develop NFL stars as disparate as Chad Ochocinco, Roddy White, and Joe Flacco. He's earned the opportunity to run the show, and the continuity is good news for Darren McFadden's fantasy value. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, former Chiefs' assistant Al Saunders will be hired as offensive coordinator. It's a sign that Jason Campbell will return as the starter, since Saunders has worked with him in the past.
Good hire, Jackson is a good coach.

Solid hire, but I always thought the players believed in Cable. Jackson is a smarter dude when it comes to football, though.

Pending Marvin Lewis's status in Cincinnati, he was the top candidate in line for the head coaching position. He's a good coach, we'll see how that translates into head coach for the Raiders.

Doesn't even matter what the Raiders do, Al Davis will eventually demolish anything in place.

And what did he do after the Raiders showed big improvement, even went 6-0 in division? Fired his coach and he just got burned by Nnamdi..

I don't know many people that stick up for Al Davis nor support what he does.

Doesn't matter.. the players play, all Cable did was call the plays (in which I believe Hue Jackson called the offensive plays) and also.. The Raiders didn't "fire" Cable.. his contract was up. The Nnamdi matter i can understand, hes going to be 30, and getting near 18mill a year.. I'd let him go too and get a 3rd round compensation pick next year for him,

You don't just fire a coach like that after you overachieved and dominated your division practically.. You just don't do it. And the Raiders didn't exactly let go of Nnamdi because of contract reasons....

HE WASN'T FIRED!!! JEEZ READ ABOVE.

Nnamdi's contract was the reason, they didn't "let" him go either. He had a clause in his contract that said if he didn't make a certain amount of plays then it would be voided.. which he didn't and then it was voided.. Its been reported that the Raiders and Nnamdi are both very interested in having him back in Oakland...... Why is it like Im the only person here who knows the truth?

He was practically fired.. They didn't re-sign him because they didn't want him.

And now it's voided and the Raiders could possibly lose the best defensive player in the NFL..

And the reason you think that is because you're full of yourself..

Why rehire him and pay him this huge contract when Hue Jackson is the same coach, and he actually called the Plays? All Cable did was basically determined who was going to start.

Also, im not full of myself.. its not as if im saying "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT" I provide facts.
