Denver Post - The Broncos will start Tim Tebow for the rest of the 2010 season, leaving Kyle Orton disappointed with Denver's decision.

Orton sat out Sunday's game due to a rib injury, but insists he is now healthy enough to play.

"I'd love to play it out," Orton said. "It wasn't my decision. There was nothing I could do. . . . The way it was presented to me was he'll be the starter the rest of the season and that's just how it goes."

The Broncos likely would prefer to start Tebow in 2011.

"I don't know what's going to happen," Orton said. "I do know I'm not the one who's going to be making that decision. I'm not the one who made this decision. But (if) the organization wants to go a different way the rest of the year, then hey, that's just how it is. If I'm back next year, my belief is I'm coming back as the starter.

"Like I've said, I don't think anything I've done with my play warrants anything other than that. But they've made the decision, and I'm not going to fight the decision. It's the decision. I'll just prepare myself to play."
I knew K.O. would be upset, but i think it would be best to let your Ribs and arms heal.

this team is an absolute train-wreck.

Orton has been playing great this season, much better than I expected.

now... "The Broncos likely would prefer to start Tebow in 2011." What a joke...

I didn't realize Orton was indeed having such a good season.
Not his fault really, he just has no one around him.

he'll get traded for a draft pick and a decent player, and sent to a piece of crap team where he'll rot with a terrible coaching staff and awful players all around him. Which is unfortunate for him.

How's that any different than the team he's on now?

I would be pissed too. As bad as the Broncos are, Orton and Lloyd have put up serious numbers and a ton of points. Orton had a pair of uneventful games down the stretch but you can't expect this guy to continue to put 300 yard days with little time in the pocket and no support from his defense.

Kyle shouldn't take this personally though. Tebow starting is a combination of: Let's see what we traded away all those draft picks for & we're 4-8, does it really matter?

I can't wait to watch Tebow play again Sunday. He wasn't horrible last Sunday but when you break it down, he wasn't good either. Like I said while watching the game...Oakland wasn't do a whole lot on defense.

well.. he has a young talented running back to balance out the attack and Brandon Lloyd has been remarkable this year. He's a good receiver. so he's got some weapons around him.

Kyle Orton had a great season this year, he was on my fantasy football team and was a top 3 QB statistically for most of the year. I think that if he had a couple more pieces around him you could have an offense to carry a team into the playoffs. As for Tim Tebow starting, that is the direction the team is forced to go because they used that 1st rounder on him and need to cash in on that investment sooner or later. The Broncos could probably get a 2nd rounder for Orton. He should go to a team like the Bills, I could see him playing very well there.
