Quick recovery from Captain Lightning is exactly what they need.An early holiday gift for the Tampa Bay Lightning, perhaps. According to the Lightning's official twitter account, Vincent Lecavalier joined his team on the ice on Tuesday for the first time since having hand surgery in mid-November.
This could be considered a bonus since, via Tampa Bay Online, GM Steve Yzerman recently predicted Lecavalier wouldn't take part in practice until next week. Lecavalier was originally expected to be out 4-5 weeks after going under the knife on Nov. 15.
Having a gander at the calender, it wouldn't be outrageous to expect the Lightning captain to be back in the lineup for Saturday's home game against the Buffalo Sabres. If not, an appearance before Christmas is almost guaranteed.
