FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Darrelle Revis, an average cornerback? Terrell Owens thinks so.

Adding another layer to a rivalry that started building a year ago, Owens -- evidently stung that Revis once called him a "slouch" -- fired back Tuesday, painting the New York Jets star as a one-year wonder and media creation.

"Just an average corner to me," the Bengals wide receiver told reporters in Cincinnati. "Everybody has assessed his abilities as far as what he did last year, shutdown corner, this and that. He did very well last year. But I think I'm looking forward to the challenge, just like he's looking forward to the challenge."

Well it hasn't been because of him, he's having a great season and has been there best player

If Revis can hold calvin top 5 reciever in the league to one catch he is still an elite corner easily. TO is gonna get shutdown.

T.O. has done great and thats why he is completely happy. Revis is an elite corner in this league, the best without a doubt. The guy makes great game changing plays and he has this swagger about him that is insatiable.

They're quitters
They throw the ball to the opposing team
They fumble the ball, giving the opposing team a gift TD
The head coach don't know how to manage a game
They get about 50 penalties a game
They average about 30 turnovers a game

Those are great recipes for success!

But, no better better time to get payback against a team that beat you twice a season ago, on Thanksgiving. If the talented team that you see on paper shows up to play, they can win. However, if they play like they have the past seven weeks or so, it'll be a long night.

Revis has still been very good this year, but not as good as last year for sure. That being said, to say that he's an average cornerback is damn near ludicrous. We'll see how Owens can do against an 'average' corner now that defenses are finally starting to recognize him as a threat again.

The Bengals certainly have more talent on offense then the Jets, but I think that the swing of the Jets' defensive talent advantage outweighs the Bengals' offensive talent advantage a bit.
