Teams Inquire About Cousins?

A source close to Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins says a number of top-tier teams have inquired about the center recently.

Tales of controversy in Sacramento inspired three teams to call the Kings to ask about Cousins, writes Sam Amick of FanHouse.

Sources confirmed that Cousins was fined approximately $5,000 by the Kings about a month ago when he barked too loudly at strength coach Daniel Shapiro.

Cousins has also gotten into an argument with assistant coach Truck Robinson, according to sources.

Judging from comments made by Kings coach Paul Westphal, it doesn't appear likely that Cousins will be dealt anytime soon.

"First off, I don't confirm or deny anything that happens behind closed doors. And every team always has behind-closed-doors issues that are inevitable parts of basketball," Westphal said. "All I can say is generalities: we're thrilled that we were able to pick DeMarcus, we love having him on the team, I'm excited about his present and even more excited about his future.

"As with any player, there are going to be some days that are better than others as they learn what the league is all about. Anything that has happened as far as anybody trying to make more out of it than that is really not fair, I don't think.

"I love that we have DeMarcus, and we're going to have some growing pains along the way. That's pretty much what I would have to say about that."

last night when we played them he off armed monroe then yelled at a ref. thats a move a superstar does, hes a rookie. i did laugh though. the off arm was so blatant.
