Yeah for what? A Year? Yeah thats very scary for us to lock up an All-Star player for the rest of his prime. We definitely made a bad decision by keeping the best player on our team in his prime. We definitely should have let him go to another team and instead of being a playoff team we could just keeping hoping that we'd draft good rookies. Will he be a franchise player when yall are paying him 27 million at 35.
You can't predict the future so you bringing up how much he'll be getting paid in his 30's doesn't mean ish to me. You don't know how good dude will be. Heck, you don't even know if he'll still be a hawk by then. Why even mention him in the conversation? Mike Conley is NO WHERE NEAR the player JJ is so why compare ANYTHING they do to each other? You can call it a bad contract all you want but what proof do you have that it is? That he'll be earning a lot of money when he's older? Not any actual proof of anything just your prediction on him not being as good when he's older. In no way have you taken to account what dude means to ATL. You mine as well just not even mention him cause if all your gonna do is hate on dude's paychecks theres really no point in mentioning him
