Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has played without his trademark headband this season after the NBA implemented a rule regarding the accessory.

The new rule prohibits players from wearing one with the logo upside-down.

Rondo wouldn't comment Friday night on the reasons for the new look.

He's seemed to try and ban everything. Pretty soon, they wont be able to have baskets, or scoreboards, and just keep score, on their hands, and guestimate if it goes in or not.

Come on David Stern. Stop being an uptight <Censored>. Just let them play and stop making up pointless rules.

I can understand it though. It's also pointless to have it upside down, even if the rule is pointless as well. It's more formal to have the headband the right way. This is not street ball lol.

It's not good for the NBA. If Wade's band aid was banned, this should be banned.

How is him wearing his headband bad for the nba?

Explain whats so bad about it? What's harming the league so much with rondo wearing his headband upside down?

Do you even know why he's wearing it upside down?

And wade's band aid didnt have a purpose. Wade just thinks he's MR.GQ

It leads to more players thinking it's okay to develop new "good luck" or stylish things which don't do anything for the game. It will make the NBA look like a joke. The NBA logo isn't supposed to be upside down...

Well, you see, the green of the headband was blinding to the officials. Now, this wasn't a problem, until this year, because the refs finally opened their eyes.

Really rios? Is it this deep.

Some people are just superstitious and like to continue doing things if they have good luck.

Wade's band aid didnt do nothing for the game. This is as stupid as this dumb ass new techs. And when stern banned the leg sleeves in 06 for no good reason.

<Censored> stern

I get the good luck thing but why did he decide to wear it upside down in the first place?

I didn't hear this much complaining when Stern banned the legging things that Michael Redd and Stackhouse used to wear.

Then they should go ahead and ban alley-opps and crossovers. They definitely started as streetball moves

Even if it is pointless, why is it drawing so much heat? Who cares about the rule? It's harmless.

Why don't they just ban everything but jerseys, shorts, socks, and shoes?
