I would pass on him. If he was looking for a short term contract, I'm sure AA would jump all over it. I'd rather wait for Anthony Gose to develop than sign a guy that is a leg injury away from being below average.

The Rays could potentially be hit hard this free agency with Pena, Crawford and Soriano are all free agents.

Hopefully the Red Sox can resigning Martinez, pick up Ortiz's option and sign Werth.

The Rays will only retain one of those guys,, you can count on that.

Congrats to the Giants winning Game 1. They clearly outplayed Texas. I really want to see this series go to 7 games. Would be off to a good start if the Rangers won Game 2.

yeah but the Yankees cant pitch

thats why i didnt understand why everyone was saying "the rangers beat the 2 best teams in the AL. they can beat the Giants"

of course they can beat the Giants, but who was the best pitcher they saw?
CC Sabathia is good. so is David Price. the rest arent as good as what the Giants have
especially bullpens. Yanks and Rays pens suck. Rays just had Soriano and Benoit. Yanks just had Mo
Kerry Wood was untouchable after he came to the Yankees at the deadline.

Looks like we got a series boys, a lot of people were saying that the Rangers were going to steam roll the Giants. Little trivia for you guys, last time the Giants won the World Series, they were called the New York Giants. Maybe they should come back to New York....

New York already has two teams... haha.

Cliff Lee just wasn't on key last night. I'll be the first to admit that coming into last night's game I was one of those who was like "He's unhittable in the postseason." When I look at it now, I realize he had to get knocked around in the postseason at some point in his career, and this just happened to be the one, and bad timing as well.

It's still gonna be an awesome matchup in terms of pitching and I think I underestimated this Giants offense. And man.. .to think that in late August the Padres were eying the playoffs instead.

I really like AJ Pierzinski's analysis of postseason baseball. He definitely knows what hes talking about and gives great predictions as well.

Yeah I noticed that the other day too. Hes great and it makes sense to have a catcher analyzing baseball because thats what they do for a living. They analyze every aspect and tendency of hitters and their own pitchers. They strategize games and gameplan everything. He really is a great addition.

i think im the only one not surprised
the nation seems to be, but ive been seeing the Giants all year

they have amazing pitching
texas has no bull pen

they have good enough hitting. none of this no offense crap. every single one of them can bop one at any time. they were a pain in the ass for me to watch this year.

Can't judge until the Rangers play a game at home.

Next 3 in Texas, could totally change the series

This one really wasn't a blowout, it was really close most of the game. Just the very end it got away and it exploded. Score won't indicate the how close the game was 90% of the game

They beat the immortal Cliff Lee, it's over. He was the only pitcher they had to worry about. After roughing him up, it had to give them all the confidence in the world.
