Citing two sources, CSNBayArea.com reports that Don Nelson is set to step down as head coach of the Warriors.

Keith Smart, a longtime assistant coach in Golden State, will take over for Nelson.

Nelson was in his second stint with the Warriors, one that peaked with an appearance in the 2007 NBA Playoffs.

IDK anything bout Smart, but maybe this finally means they stop with the unsuccessful run and gun and actually build a team.

well they still have that kind of team so they need to run with it until they decide to actually clean house and rebuild.

Should of done that the year after they upset the Mavs lol. IDK why they tried to milk it for so long.

AKA, they're firing him but letting him have some pride in "stepping down."

Too many firing rumors for him to be stepping down.
