Dampier is good. His reputation is just the way it is because of the contract. For what he does, he's really good. And its not like theyd have plays for him. He's one of the better big guys in the league at setting screens because he's so wide and strong and he'll grab a lot of rebounds and block shots.

Exactly lol. Just the fact he might go to Miami that he all of a sudden sucks.

And it just so happens he might to the Heat, so you automatically think it would be a solid pick up

But it is a solid pickup. Any team that signed him would be a solid pickup. As Maple said he is a big body, and nice rebounder and shot blocker.

I'd take him on the Pistons any day.

Has nothing to do with the Heat lol.

Erick Dampier will soon make a decision about where to sign for the 10-11 season, with the Heat and Rockets believed to be the favorites.

The Hawks are also a potential sleeper destination for Dampier.

Dampier most recently played as a member of the Mavericks, but was traded to Charlotte and subsequently waived during the offseason.
