The Bulls are internally discussing whether to offer Joakim Noah to the Nuggets in a deal for Carmelo Anthony, according to sources.

Denver is reluctant to take back the contract of Luol Deng, as trading Anthony would mean the franchise would begin to rebuild.

Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday that an NBA source with knowledge of Anthony's wishes told him Anthony still hopes to convince Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri to trade him, and he prefers a move to the New York Knicks or Bulls.

I kind of feel no one wins this deal.
Bulls need Noah, Nuggets could probably get more for Anthony.

I don't wanna trade Noah. He's the heart of the team, I think we can be a good team without Carmelo. If we trade Noah there's no way our bigs compete with Howard or the Lakers.

damn, the nuggets have to want Deng for this to go down.
Deng is the most value theyll get for filling the SF spot, and then give up Taj or JJ or both and the Charlotte pick and maybe our pick, if i were denver id take that trade in a heartbeat

You would take Deng's contract, a backup PF who has reached his potential, a project forward, a protected pick that the Bulls might never see and a late 1st round pick for Carmelo Anthony, one of the top 7 players in the league?

If GarPax can get a deal done like that, then more power to 'em, but I don't see anyway Denver trades him to Chicago without Noah AND Deng, which isn't a good move for the Bulls IMO.

Yeah, I think the Bulls are a better team without Melo, despite him being a top 10 player in the NBA, which is kind of weird. They don't really need Melo's scoring as Rose and Boozer can handle that and he's not amazing at anything else.

I also agree with the Bulls being better off without Melo. He's good, but I think he'd throw off everything they got going on. Him and Deng on the same team is too crowded at SF.

Yeah I just don't see how this helps either team tbh. It just swaps key players and they're better off without doing it

Deng would obviously not be on the team if we got Carmelo.

It's a no brainer to trade Noah if you're getting Melo...

They are saying the Nuggets probably won't want to take on Deng's big contract.
