Meh. I was kinda pissed off when it happened. Oh well. Marcum sounded like he didn't even care.

He's 35 right? He's slowing down this season. He's not the same A-Rod. I thought he'd be able to get close to the homerun record, I don't see it any more.

He's only hit 16 this year. There's just two months to go. The most he'll get by the end of the year is 25. If he continues at this pace for more season to come, there's no way he can make it.

He'll break it for sure, and Pujols will break that.

Thing is, I honestly don't care if he used steroids or not. It's the era. And don't call me biased, I support Barry Bonds.

ive always thought like that. its the era, so many people(pitchers included) used roids. you almost have to just accept the fact that he along with many many others used them.

I agree with yankees, it's the era and I support Bonds but not A-Rod, but I don't support A-Rod because of the steroids its because he's a yankee and just a general douche bag

Pujols is on steroids as well.

Just another stupid Jays fan <Censored>ing about a superior player.

Given your recent track history of predicting what will happen in MLB, it would be wise to bet against you 9 times out of 10.

So you're saying he still has it in him to hit 30 homeruns each year for the next 5 years when he only he hit 16 so far this year? I don't see it happening. The league is being policed now, we're going into a whole different era. A-Rod could be the last to hit 600.

A-rod could be the last to hit 600, and it's being policed more? A-rod was never suspended...

Pujols will blow by the record. All signs point toward Adam Dunn having a shot (256 away at age 30. On pace for 42 this year, so he'll hit 14 more then that's 242. If he plays until he is 40 [which he could, considering at some point he'll go to the AL to play DH] that's only 25 homers a year.

Mark Teixeira is more than half way there at age 30.

Ryan Howard, who got a late start, has 245 at age 30. He can play for a long time because of how late he started.

Miguel Cabrera has a good shot at 600, being only 27 and having 235.

Prince Fielder could.

This doesn't include players who haven't come in to the league yet. More people will hit 600. I predict the total will hit 12 by 2025.

You need to re-check the stats. A-Rod now has 17 HR's this year. He is projected to hit 26 this season which would put him at 609 heading into 2011 and 154 HR's away from breaking the record. After this year, he will have seven years left on his contract. A-Rod would only have to average 22 HR's per season for the remainder of his contract to break the record. Something that he is more than capable of doing, despite your claims.

BTW: How much criticism would A-Rod be getting if he still played for the mariners or the Rangers?

well once Pujols starts getting accused of taking roids I'll believe it, but no one has said anything
