Lol that's because he's on their team. Anyone on the other 29 teams will say he's a bum. There's a reason they drafted Ed Davis.

Why would they sign him to such a contract then?
He might not ever be a star, but he is going to be a good player for any bench. He is certainly no scrub.

You have to overpay for any big man these days.. Look at what Darko got.

Look at what Adonal Foyle, Etan Thomas, etc. have gotten in past years. I would definitely say he's a scrub. The Magic have better big man (Bass, Anderson) who rarely see the courts. He's just getting PT because he's on the Raptors.

He isn't a scrub. He is just a hard worker who is high energy. He isn't the cream of the crop, but he is a serviceable big. I think he'd crack the rotation on most NBA teams.

Name one elite team who he'd get consistent minutes for.

How would he get time on the Spurs? He's not better than any of their big men that will get time this season (Duncan, Blair, McDyess, Splitter) - IDK if McDyess is coming back but Splitter takes his minutes.

Heat? No. Bosh, Joel Anthony, Haslem, Ilgauskas? He's not getting minutes there.

Celtics? Perkins (if healthy), JO, Garnett, Big Baby? Maybe if Perkins' injury is as bad as people are saying, but when healthy on that team he's not getting any minutes.

Spurs tried signing him a couple years back so I'm assuming the interest is still there. They were the only team fighting with us to sign him..

Anthony is no better than Johnson. He would get some minutes there.

I was banking on his injury.

Anthony is much better than Johnson. Anthony is a great defensive center; it's the only reason he sees the court. Johnson can't protect the paint like he can.

And that was before the Spurs had Splitter and Blair. They're set at big. Like I said, Celtics maybe if Perkins is hurt bad and they don't go out and get one more big.

IDK how you can say any of that if your not an NBA coach. His hard work could get him minutes, you don't know what team he would/wouldn't see the court for.

But you can predict based off the talent of the other players on the team. You're copping out right now.

No I'm saying you don't know what each coach likes. Maybe his hustle and blocking abilities get him solid minutes. He could be plugged in when a team needs some energy. He is that type of player.

Two of the teams you mentioned already have that kind of player. And that type of player at HIS skill level doesn't get minutes every night.
