The Rockets have agreed to terms with Luis Scola on a five-year, $47 million contract.

Scola was a restricted free agent this summer and Houston was adamant that they would match any offer he received.
Damn 9 million might be a bit steep, but Scola is a good player. Not bad for Houston.

7 mill would of been better for Scola, but I'm a fan of him.

Always been a fan. He has a nice game. It's a lot of cash, but that is what this Free Agency period has been.. lol

I get why they thre so much at him, with the team they had last year they went way further then anyone expected after Yao's injury now add Yao to the mix, KMart's a offseason into their offense and gameplan and you have a potential contender in the West.

Still 5yrs for a 30yr old is a little long

not just the fact hes 30, but hes been playing pretty much all year every year since he was around 23 or maybe younger. but they need that much to keep him there.
