Wide receiver Terrell Owens in an interview on WJMN Radio in Boston by way of WEEI said he’d “definitely be open” to playing for the Patriots.

“I’d definitely be open to that,” said Owens.

“People think that they have that perception about me. Of course. Any receiver … what receiver that’s out there that’s had great stats, great careers that didn’t want the ball? I’m no different,” Owens said. “But of course — I mean, you’ve got Brady there. You’ve got the great mind, coach Belichick.

“I’m like LeBron. I can go there and take less of a role, take less money and put everything aside and make it work.”

I love the LeBron comparison at the end. Do you guys see him going there? If so, what kind of effect would it have on the Patriots?

I hope not. Besides the fact that I'd finally get to see him play which would make my life...I don't want him to play for them...

It isn't really a shocker in my eyes he would want to go to New England. He knows full well that his team is coming to an end in the league, beginning with the diminishing of his talents, so he sees that he must make a move now. I don't know if BB and the NE Staff would put up with him though. But hey, they took in Randy Moss...

They took a chance at Moss, I don't see how taking a shot at TO would hurt. He has been well behaved and will benefit to going into that NE locker room.

He may be interested in them, but I'm not so sure they are interested in him.

It really depends I guess on how they feel their WR situation is going. They have Welker/Moss and they drafted Rob Gronkowski for the TE spot (who is a large WR in essence, he can't block that well) So they will try and spread the defense out a bit. It really depends on where they feel his head is at, and if he wants to be all about ego he won't be playing in NE.

LOL, T.O. "wouldn't mind" playing for the Patriots. In reality, T.O. would beg like a dog to play for the Patriots. The man has no job, absolutely no market, and for the first time in his career, NOBODY cares that he's out there.

This is a completely different situation from Moss. Moss wasnt as much the trouble maker that TO has been, AE can attest to that. I think TO would love to play for the Patriots, but I dont see them needing another WR in there when they already have Welker and Moss.

Exactly the situation. T.O doesn't know what to do, teams aren't lining up to take a chance on him anymore. With an ego like his, this might end pretty bad... Lol.

I was gonna say the same thing, he should be on Roger Crafts' door step on his <Censored>ing knees.

This was probably sent out by his agent, BB doesn't want, or need, Owens.

First off, no to the Patriots. Big fail regarding Gronkowski's blocking ability. They took Aaron Hernandez as well, and they are developing Brandon Tate and Taylor Price at WR. It makes no sense to bring in Owens, none. It was a desperate play on his part to keep his name in the media.
