See, this is exactly when people want to rant and rave about Twitter - when it becomes the polar opposite. And it is terrible for rumors/lies/etc.

Thats why if the tweet doesn't have a reliable link with a reliable source attached, don't believe it.

Of course. It's like anything, it's just how fast certain tweets are posted, it's hard to keep up with all the different reports. That's the only thing for me. I think I am done with the rumors...might tune in tonight or might not and that's that.

I guess Windhorst said all of this on the radio.

Windy on WKNR just now:
He sounds completely defeated, for what it's worth.

- Lebron has told a lot of people he is going to go to Miami. Been in various stages of that for the last week.

- Recruited hard by Wade and Bosh. Sometime on Tuesday came around a little bit.

- There are a lot of people around him who think it is a bad decision.

- BUT until he goes on the record - or Maverick Carter - it's not done. Stressed this many times.

- It's possible he could reconsider, but advices people of Cleveland to be prepared for anger.

- Doesn't think LeBron fully understands what the repercussions will be about leaving.

- Pretty much everything LeBron has said will be ruled hypocritical about family, etc.

- About how LeBron is changing: stresses the left-handed free throw and the non-explanation for it - Windy says that is the first time that he said "come again?" about Lebron. Then the Celtics series, then Larry King. He was especially shocked at Lebron's "I spoil the people" answer after Game 5.

- Says LeBron thought Tiger's recent damage control press conference was a good idea.

- Feels like LeBron was a always a guy who had some problems, but because of his athletic talent, was able to overwhelm those problems. But his "tone-deafness" to his hometown is shocking but not unexpected.

- Most national media think LeBron is an absolute fool, but will cover him. Most casual NBA fans will be somewhat turned off, but will come back. In the teams cities that are chasing him he will have taken a tremendous hit.

- Nike is not thrilled about this because it significantly damages his brand.

- About sentiment here if he truly leaves: "If LeBron has left his house, I hope he's packed for a good long time, because he can't come back. LeBron will be radioactive here for a long time"

- On how LeBron will spin it: will dump on the Cavs roster, will say he wants to go play with his friends and win multiple championships. Then says he will go to a love-fest of Akron.

- On where Cavs go from here assuming LeBron leaves for Miami: The rats will jump off the ship, will hear tons of anti-LeBron stuff from the organization. "Hell hath no fury like Dan Gilbert's scorn". Have 9 million in cap space, if cut Delonte - will have 13 million. No free agents will want to come because of LeBron's indecision.

- Doesn't think the Cavs will tear down and rebuild. Thinks Gilbert will try to make deals to have Cavs make the playoffs. But unfortunately, there is no Plan B for if LeBron leaves.

- On Chris Paul trade: the Cavs have tried EVERYTHING to get him, but don't have the assets to get him because of trying to win title for the last three years. Says this lack of flexibility is a scar left by LeBron. In reality, the deal will not happen.

- Says it was an absolute privilege to watch LeBron all these years, so to have the opportunity to see him was incredible. But as great as he is, he is not great enough to win a championship by himself. The great players, he says, are able to. The real loss is that he could not bring the city what it truly wanted: a championship. So would have to term LeBron's tenure here a failure.

-Odds he ultimately returns: would like to say 1 in 5, but is really probably lower than that. Says we have most likely underestimated LeBron's ego.

If this is about charity why doesnt he go to the Boys and Girls Club of Dade County as opposed to the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich Ct?

Lmao at all these people believing this Bull<Censored> that its all about charity, no this is all about Lebrons Brand.

It truly is about LeBron getting the spotlight and media attention. It's all a cover, I must say.

If he runs to miami Ill never look at him the same. Bill Simmons said it best in his column today.

I think it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That's why I'm holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he'd be saying, "Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their teams. The Celtics are still there. Durant's team is coming. I'm gonna go out and build MY team, and I'm kicking all their asses." That's what Jordan would have done. Hell, that's what Kobe would have done.

In May, after the Cavs were ousted in the conference semifinals, I wrote that LeBron was facing one of the greatest sports decisions ever: "winning (Chicago), loyalty (Cleveland) or a chance at immortality (New York)."

I never thought he would pick "HELP!"

The Bath Township police department will be providing security around the house of LeBron James on Thursday, as he announces his free agency decision in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Police Chief Michael McNeeley said they have an extra squad of police officers working around James home.

"Whether we get loads of happy fans or unhappy fans showing up outside his home, we will be prepared to keep the traffic moving," he said. "There has been a lot of traffic in the area lately, but there have been no problems."

McNeeley said he has a plan in place in case hundreds of people show up that would include calling in aid from surrounding police departments. The Bath force has 20 officers.

"We're hoping we won't need it," he said.

You don't have TSN?

http://tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=326874
I got TSN, I just looked on my guide and I didn't see "The Decision" so I assumed it wasn't on. But now I see that is in fact Sports Center.

BTW, I really hope he goes to NY. I always liked them, and would love to see him team up with Amare.

Him going to the Heat would be crazy, I wouldn't like it though. This whole FA thing has had me lose respect for him.

FWIW: disparate opinions among gms, agents, league HQ officials today about where LeBron is going, but consensus on 1 thing: it's not Mia.

Several GMs & prominent agents are defiant, insisting #LeBron will stay in CLE. They can't see the rationale of leaving $ and this process.
