Oh yeah and ignore the fact that he has a low average. His OBP is pretty good for a power hitter too.

^i saw DTrain last night. awful. he's done

ok time for my rant.

OMAR INFANTE?!
Do we really need a util. guy in the game? arent there enough position players that we can just use them as late game replacements? cmon Charlie

Padres have the best pitching in baseball and no all-star pitcher? how'd that happen? Get rid of Holliday, add McCutchen, throw in Gregorson or Big Heath instead of Evan Meek

and my Dodger bias is coming through!
Raffy Furcal > Jose Reyes. Reyes might miss the game, but since stupid Charlie selected Infante, Raffy probably wont be the replacement SS. <Censored> manuel

Hong-Chih Kuo > Arthur Rhodes. If you want a lefty reliever, at least pick the filthiest one in baseball. Or even pick the best lefty closer in Wagner. Fine with me. Only reason I bring up Kuo is because Rhodes got in. otherwise I dont care

Kershaw and Lincecum is debatable. Look at the numbers. But CK will get in as a replacement. Im pretty confident

and last but not least WHERE IS JOEY VOTTO?!

He has better numbers than Pujols, but Pujols was voted in so no big.
But Ryan Howard over Joey Votto?
Manuel strikes again
Leave it to a habitual Lincecum doubter to post something like this

The Tigers have signed one of Venezuela's most talented young hitting stars, 16-year-old Danry Vasquez, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.

Baseball America reported the signing Saturday. Al Avila, the Tigers assistant general manager, confirmed Sunday that the Tigers have reached agreement with a player who is considered one of the top young hitters on the international stage.

"Miguel Garcia and Tom Moore have been following this guy since he was 14," said Avila, referring to the Tigers' top Latin American scout, and director of international scouting, respectively. "They've known him for a long time."

Avila signed another Venezuelan star, Miguel Cabrera, to a contract with the Florida Marlins when Cabrera was 16. Magglio Ordonez, another Venezuelan now with the Tigers, signed with the Chicago White Soxwhen he was 16.
Haha, nice!

Just a little something, something for the Jays fans.

Despite the fact that they finished up their road trip with an underwhelming 1-6 record, the Toronto Blue Jays still managed to get some good news on Sunday.

Prospect Kyle Drabek, who the club acquired in the Roy Halladay trade in the off-season, pitched a no-hitter for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Drabek struck out three batters and walked two in New Hampshire's 5-0 win over the New Britain Rock Cats.

Drabek, who is 8-8 on the season with a 3.20 ERA, was perfect until the fifth inning, when he issued a walk. After a double play ball, Drabek issued another walk. After that, he retired the last 13 hitters he faced.

A crowd of 6,037 witnessed the game, which was played in Manchester, New Hampshire.
This guy could be special.

I missed the weekends games cause I was camping but I see the Tigers took 2/3 which I'll take it, the Mariners have been tough on them all year.

I'd pick Latos

WTF? No. Rhodes is like 40 and had a 32 scoreless inning streak.Just no.
Another little rant. Yadier Molina starting???
He's hitting .229!!! Are you kidding?Where's Miguel Olivo, a catcher hitting .307 that no one talks about.DOESN'T MAKE THE TEAM! This fan voting is gay, I say they take a player vote.

On the Final Vote, Wagner over Gonzo??? NO. Gonzo is carrying the Rockies. He should be in. and so should Votto.

Call him Cargo.

and I just think if Charlie wanted a lefty reliever, why not go with Wagner?
everyone's happy. He said it's his last season, middle relievers never go anyways, everyone wins there

but if he wanted to go with a non closer, Hong-Chih Kuo >>>> Rhodes.
lol on Sunday just for good measure, Kuo went 2 innings, punched out 6.
lefties are 0-30 with 16 K's vs him. Gaudy numbers

and lets just look at everything else
Kuo: 1.03 ERA
Rhodes: 1.06 ERA

Kuo: 36 K's/8 Walks
Rhodes: 32 K's/12 walks

Kuo has a lower WHIP too, and has only given up 11 hits all year. he's amazing

Kuo has also pitched in 8 less innings, otherwise his numbers are through the roof.

but with his arm history (2 Tommy John's and shoulder surgery, and 4 overall arm surgeries), it's probably a blessing that he isnt pitching in an exhibition. every pitch he throws stops hearts of every Dodger fan and every Dodger in the front office and dugout

Andy Pettite will be appearing in the ASG. 3 of 5 members of our rotation will be playing. Kleenex in aisle 4.
