Drew Gooden(notes) has reached agreement on a five-year, $32 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Gooden has played for eight teams in eight seasons, and hopes to find some stability with the fast-rising Bucks.

Bucks general manager John Hammond and agent Dan Fegan struck quick on Thursday and cut a deal to help solidify Milwaukee’s frontline. Gooden will join a core of Andrew Bogut(notes) and Brandon Jennings(notes) that’s added Corey Maggette(notes) and Chris Douglas-Roberts(notes) in the offseason. The Bucks are still negotiating with free agent John Salmons(notes) to return.

Wow definitely not worth that deal ha. I'd say maybe $20 million would have been sufficient.

Bucks know what they're doing...I can't even say that. Not a fan of this deal at all

Wow he was decent with the Mavericks last year, but definitely not worth all that money. The Bucks are sooo stupid...

I was starting to think Hammond was definitely the mastermind behind the Pistons when we won the title, I think this helps me believe he was not.

Why would they do this?

yes he was. the only bad thing is the years of this deal. gooden will get 12/8 in like 22mpg. this helps their bench a lot. also helps them in bogut gets injured again.

Pretty much..Drew could get a solid 13/8 and Skiles will tighten him and a few others up on Defense.

Drew can't be tightened up on defense, it's literally impossible.

and he just signed, we dont know the full terms yet. this may have a team option. either way, this strengthens the team and they could end up winning 50+ and the division.
