Thats true. You just better hope someone is dumb enough to take on Thomas's cap hit first of all though. Then you can worry about going after a trade for Ryder.

They're desperate to keep their core D together IMO. With Michalek gone, they needed to solidify their defensive core and I think thats a real solid deal

I was thinking what they'd do with him. But he wouldn't be a 3rd line guy anyways so you never know

Maybe they'll give him to Kesler or Sedin on the wing?
