I don't think we'll give Joe Johnson the max.. If we sign him, I can see 5/70 - 80, but not 92.

Best case scenario - sign and trade Joe Johnson for Eddy Curry and Wilson Chandler.

Sign LeBron James and his choice of Bosh/Amare/Dirk/big man.

Douglas - Johnson - James - Gallinari - Big man

:D

Or, we can start them all off around 11m signed, promise them another great player next year when Curry leaves (Carmelo, J-rich, Durant, Duncan, etc)

But that won't happen.

Johnson,Bron Bron,Bosh,Wade, and Amare should all sign a 1 year deal worth like 5 million a piece and just win a championship.

Dirk's max starts at over 20 million on the first year. The Knicks can't afford him if they want to max someone else..

I don't think Dirk would need the max if he knew he'd be playing with LeBron :p

would be pretty sweet

i love Shaun. ever since I first saw him on his draft. his highlights were nuts
always loved him with the Clips too

he improved his shot, and has always been a solid defender. i hope you're right
He's half the player he used to be...

There is no way a team like that would lose. Especially if it was on like Chicago with decent bench payers.
You never know. It's a team game, it only takes one team with determination and heart to take down anyone. (As corny as it sounds lol)

I hope the Pistons sign someone noteworthy for the MLE.
I wouldn't protest against Jermaine O'Neal.

Don't know if anyone saw or posted this, but yeah:

Paul Pierce has notified the Boston Celtics that he will opt out of the final year of his contract before Wednesday's deadline, according to sources.

Pierce has never been an unrestricted free agent in his career.

Pierce will forfeit next season's $21.5 million salary but becomes eligible to sign a new four-year deal with the Celtics worth a maximum of $96 million and can receive four-year offers from other teams worth a maximum $93 million.

Sources said that Pierce will begin free agency by talking first to the Celtics when the market opens on Thursday at 12:01 a.m., but he will also listen to outside offers.

Pierce isn't going to get a max deal from anyone? At least he shouldn't.

He's an idiot. I would have stayed at taken my $21 million then tried to work out a decent deal next year.
