I agree. And Daniel Orton was an awful pick. I was hoping he'd fall to the 2nd round, in no way will he be anything in the NBA.

I feel the same way about orton. Nothing he does stands out.

He was a bad bench player at Kentucky. Dumbass just wanted to get paid before the potential lockout. Plus he knew he'd be exposed next year, so he got drafted based off potential. He'll ride the bench all his career.

This whole post I cosign. Add to the fact his dad wanted him to come out too. These dads like his and Xaviers make me sick.

I don't think he'll live up to the hype. I think he'll be good, but I don't think he'll ever be an elite NBA player. I can't see him being anything more than a Jamal Crawford sans a jumpshot/Monta Ellis kind of guy. I know these two both scored 20 PPG in past years (Monta Ellis averaging 25 PPG this year - I was shocked to find that out!), but it was for bad teams where they just jacked up shots. Wall cannot save a franchise, nor do I think you can build around a guy like him.

EDIT: I also think Stuckey on Detroit is a good comparison. Not going to be anything too special but he's good.

He really didn't have to sell anything.. He had 5 of his players, including one bench player get drafted in the first round. That alone sells your program to recruits.

Yeah exactly. He's either going to be a good player on a bad team (i.e. Monta Ellis) or a solid player on a good team and average stats like Stuckey did this year (16-17 points, 5-6 assists).

Probably not the most important but it was important considering all the guy is, is a recruiter, certainly makes his job even easier to recruit. First time 5 players on one team went first round. Too bad hes a horrendous coach.

Stuckey will be a 19 and 7 type player this year IMO People don't realize he has had a different coach in all 3 of his first season in the league. This is the first time he actually has stability.

completely agree. the way that team looks, i dont even think hes going to look as good as hyped. that back court is a mess. lol.
