Newsday - Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis met with coach Rex Ryan on Wednesday and the sit-down could result in New York making the player a huge offer.

Revis, who wants to be the NFL's highest-paid cornerback, could receive a contract offer from the Jets that could exceed $100 million, according to Newsday.

He is an outstanding talent and I can't deny that, but feeling just stays the same, the Jets need to realize he played outstanding for one year. I don't expect him to completely drop off, at all. And what happens if he <Censored>s up a knee or is badly injured? Then his career is over.. He only makes 1 million right now, and that is absurd. He deserves long term security for what hes done.

Teams shouldn't be allowed to cut players if players can't get extensions, that simple.
