K-rod has only 3 blown saves this year and more than half the league would take him with a low 2 ERA.We swept the Phillies last time we faced them and the Braves do look very good right now but they havent won anything substantial in a very long time. We dont even have Carlos Beltran back yet and we are only 3 games behind the Braves. Everytime you talk about the NL East, you dont know what your talking about. I dont even think the Mets are making the playoffs, but I said if our road record would be better we would.

Oh yea and the Nats are in last place....

Phils are going to be fine though. you know that

Braves, i'll agree with what you said. they do look legit though

Nats are in last, but they're not that far behind the mets
they're also getting Strasburg tuesday. that makes them a little better than they are right now
they got a better pen, and also better on the road than the mets

home will take care of itself. they'll be fine

Mets will finish around 83-84 wins and that doesnt blow based on the talent of the team. Yea, the Phils are going to be ok, but there is something that I just cant put my finger on which makes me second guess myself. Idk what it is, but theres just not that cut-throat mentality that I have seen in years past from them. As for the Braves I love the staff and Heyward is a very nice spark. I picked the Braves to win the division. But there is no way in hell that the Nats are better than the Mets, our offense is better and our starting pitching is better. Also the Nats still dont know how to win if you know what I mean.

I think the Mets need to get rid of Minaya

Thank god Boston lost today. We're still tied 4th place in the al east with the sox. Why does al east have to be so deep? <_<

I agree as well, he has made way too many stupid moves for him to still be here. Last year it was hoping Delgado would be good to go and I said he was done. This year it was the pitching that he said was good enough to win with and I said we needed 2 more arms and he was wrong about that. The Oliver Perez contract was stupid, Luis Castillo was dumb, not getting a well rounded bench. Man I would be an amazing general manager. My first move right now would be to go get Kevin Millwood and then a better backup 2B.

usually the jays are pretty good, but are not good enough to catch the yanks or sox....and lately rays
tough luck

but if they were in pretty much any other division (AL/NL) they;d be in the playoffs. and anything can happen in the playoffs
i mean the Dodgers got to the NLCS twice when they shouldn't have

just tough luck

The Dodgers blow, they need more pitching.

true

but we're only .5 back of the lucky padres

giants still have no O and Lincecum has been sucky lately
Rockies only win when Ubaldo starts. and at some point, they're going to have to make a run
Helton sucks and is still batting 3 for whatever reason. overhyped just as i thought from the get go...

Im kidding, the bullpen needs to get stabilized and the Dodgers will take off. Im dissapointed in Sherrill, Troncoso, and Belisario. Those starters need to continue to pitch well because it looks like besides Broxton the bullpen is having an off-year. As for Ethier he is a strong candidate for MVP in my book, we'll see how much protection the other hitters in the lineup give him though since pitchers will continue to pitch around him.

Giants almost blew it last night on that 2 run shot in the 9th

Glad they still came away with the win. Andres Torres is a real competitor. I'm starting to like him more and more now.

Zito's taking on the Reds tonight

Strasburg is making his MLB debut tomorrow night on ESPN. I am going to try and watch the first couple innings or so. Speaking of the Nationals though, the MLB draft is tonight and they have the number one pick again. I guess they're taking a 17 year old catcher phenom.

Bryce is done playing catcher. He'll be moved to 1B most likely

Yeah, I hope I get to see it. My dudes Cam Bedrosian and Delino DeShields are top 50 prospects and will probably be taken earlyish.

Oh, really? I didn't hear that on ESPN when they were talking about him. He is only 17 though, I mean, that's sick. First pick in the baseball draft and your only 17.
