Pistons Hire Broker To Sell Team

The Pistons announced Wednesday morning that a Citigroup subsidiary has been hired to broker the sale of the Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment.

The subsidiary has been in contact "with a number of interested parties," the Pistons said in a news release, adding that the NBA "has been informed of the engagement."

Pistons owner Karen Davidson, who assumed control when her husband Bill died in March of 2009, said last month that the team is for sale.

Hopefully the team is sold sooner rather than later. And to a "party" that actually takes basketball interest.

we need to sell soon! and need an owner who does indeed like basketball. that will help us with trades and all other moves. until then we'll probably be penny pinching

dumars is gonna have to look good with what we got or convince the digger to drop some loot and let us make a few deals. if we get a new owner and dumars hasnt made us a tiny bit better he may be gone. and honestly, i know its not all his fault but i wont be too sad to see him go.
