MLB started to make fans pay to attend baseball games in the year 1858. You could go see a game for 10 cents.
The first paid game for people to go to the stadium was between New York and Brooklyn.

10 cents back then was probably the equivalent to 100 dollars in the 2000's.

Is that a fact? I doubt it would be that much since you didn't have to pay before 1858...

I did the math on an inflation calculator and 10 cents back then is the equivalent of $1.39 today
