Anyone know how to open these PSDs in GIMP? Also may be a dumb question but what is ripping?

Ripping is taking the layers of a PSD that isn't yours.

They dont I keep getting error messages that it can not open? As for GimPhoto I checked it out on their homepage and tbh it looks a lot like GIMP. I am used to GIMP so I would rather not have to learn how to use another program especially if its basically the same idea of what I use now. You know what I mean.

I just installed it checked out doesnt seem to be much more than GIMP. I actually installed it cause I read you can have the one window like PS but it didnt even have that. I quickly uninstalled it and I am back to regular GIMP. I also figured out how to open the PSDs in GIMP...finally.
