Serge Ibaka has launched a mini-campaign to be selected into the 2011 slam dunk contest. After watching the event live in Dallas over the All-Star break, Ibaka said he would like to participate in next year’s competition.

Ibaka won a dunk contest in Spain two years ago and boasts of being able to dunk from the free throw line.

"I hope so,” Ibaka said. "I feel like I can compete with them.”

LeBron wants to, too.

Then again LeBron will draw the higher ratings so you know David Stern would love to have this nobody. Serge is a lock already if he wants to be in it.

I do lol. I'd rather see him that Shannon Brown, Nate Robinson. LOL.

LeBron
Ibaka
Howard

And that could be respectable lol. We need creativity more than talent.

LeBron isnt really creative like that imo. Hes a wonderful in game dunker. But the last time I saw him in a dunk contest I wasnt blown away.

Ibaka
Alexander
Chase Budinger
JR Giddens or Gerald Henderson

That contest would be piff. Somebody needs to sign James White...right around dunk contest time. He would kill everybody.

Budinger might be able to dunk, but I don't think anyone would enjoy watching him do so lol.

And 2 white dudes won't fly lol.

LeBron has been invited plenty of times. He loves getting the hype up just to disappoint

Haha it was sweet though, it actually was fun to watch.

Same with Dwight and the cape. They need creativity like that.
