yup, Kim Johnson and Nick Leddy to Chicago for Cam Barker
I hope he makes it in Chicago. He could be a nice compliment to Keith and Seabrook in the futureWhile many view Leddy as an offensive defenseman, he could potentially blossom into more of a two-way defenseman. His play is equally strong at both ends of the ice. Leddy combines superb offensive prowess with conscientious and responsible defensive zone play. He does an excellent job of taking away time and space from the opposition, and can also create it for both himself and his teammates.
One attribute that makes it all possible is his outstanding skating ability. Leddy is an agile skater with good speed and smoothness in his strides. This can particularly be seen in his transitioning and rushes up the ice. This past summer, Leddy added 15 pounds to his 5'11 frame. The result has enhanced his game tremendously, especially on the physical side.
Canucks please get Poni.Nothing imminent on Ponikarovsky, but there have been offers. Leafs will wait to see if the proposals get better.
I heard Canes are looking for a 1st rounder and a good prospect. For a 37 year old? No thanks man.Pens 4 Poni
I just think Shero is gonna get a winger of some sorts. I know its between the Pens and Kings for Whitney
From: NHL Sources SayThe Sens are very interested in Stephane Robidas; Ottawa is trying to get it done in exchange for Brian Lee.
According to the Tennessean, the Nashville Predators will be possibly looking to make a few deals to improve their depth. Goaltenders Pekka Rinne, or Dan Ellis could be heading over to another team at the March 3rd trade deadline. Soon to be Unrestricted Free Agent Dan Hamhuis has been receiving a lot of attention from teams, and will most likely be moved.
he needs to step up.Boston will only move Ryder and pick up some nice players IMO. They'll have a nice deadline I bet
BTW, hows that Kovalchuk trade working out so far
6 games, 1 G, 4 A, +6
Nice pickup...but they're 2-3-1 since he was acquired...
