Romeo Crennel was an assistant with Bill Parcells for more than 10 years and has worked with Giants head coach Tom Coughlin before for three seasons. Now he is apparently in conversations with the New York Giants about possibly filling the hole at defensive coordinator.
The Giants have already interviewed Perry Fewell, who was just fired as the interim head coach of the Buffalo Bills. Fewell will get a turn in the interview chair for the Chicago Bears' defensive-coordinator job next week.

The word is that the 62-year-old Crennel, who is in Aruba right now, could end up with the Kansas City Chiefs, too. And, according to the Boston Herald, there is another "mystery team" that wants to change defensive coordinators but doesn't want to be public about it just yet.

Don't see why people want Crennel.

He was a bad head coach but he was a good defensive coordinator for the Pats

Maybe its because every time he is under a good head coach he is very successful. He has won 5 Super Bowls as an assistant coach.

A dynasty is usually winning championships in a span of a couple years...not just having good teams

1969...but we had some good teams with DT in the 90's. And we beasted in 2003 when priest set the td record.
I'm pretty sure the Jets won the SB in 1969... So 1968 would be the correct year of the end of the "dynasty".

On topic: If Crennel wants a 6th ring with a serious franchise, he'll come to Big Blue. The Chiefs have shown little signs of even becoming a respectable franchise again within the next few years.

lol Belichick has almost all of the say. Crennel is washed up and his philosophy is bend don't break. Horrible way to look at defense.

It makes more sense for him to come to Chiefs obviously.

I never said we won the superbowl in 69. Our last team that won the title was the 69 chiefs team.
