Penguins defenseman Sergei Gonchar left the team's practice on Friday. See 11:29 AM entry for details...

2:15 PM:
Here is an update from head coach Dan Bylsma regarding Sergei Gonchar's status for Saturday's game at Tampa Bay:

"He was better today in terms of dealing with his injury. It wasn’t great on the ice. Without a morning skate tomorrow it’s tough to think we are going to have him. We are hopping he continues to progress like he did coming into today. If that is the case it could be a warm-up decision."
A shot rang off his foot 2 days ago but he came back to the game. I hope everything is ok

Boston's played terrible this period, they can't seem to control the puck

They're working the puck around too much IMO. Shoot on Leighton

And why is it that every outdoor game features a backup goalie in net. Conklin 3 times and now Michael Leighton

Hartnell gets away with another one..clearly batted that into the stands.

Actually, it's the second time he's done that.

Boston's fourth line seems to be their best line today, near the end Boston started to pick it up though

hopefully they'll come out strong in the third

I gotta give it up to the Flyers for being more aggressive though

This is by far my least favorite Winter Classic

The Bruins shouldn't be getting outplayed by the Flyers and they're playing such conservative hockey.

I think we should've expected this before the game even started. Seeing that both teams are such defensive teams.
