Baltimore Sun - Ravens quarterback Troy Smith has asked the team to trade him.

"Ravens QB Troy Smith, Ohio State alum, native + Heisman winner wants playing time," agent Ralph Cindrich wrote on his Twitter page Monday. "Ravens notified. Will seek trade after play offs, SB run."

Baltimore selected Smith with a fifth round pick in 2007.

After Steve McNair retired, Smith competed with Kyle Boller and Joe Flacco for the starting job
