Greg Oden will likely miss the season after fracturing his left patella during a game against Houston on Saturday night.

Oden will undergo surgery, the Trail Blazers said.

The game was stopped for some seven minutes after colliding with a driving Aaron Brooks midway through the first quarter. Oden was gently moved to a stretcher and wheeled from the court. He underwent an MRI shortly thereafter.
So much for being a dominant center in the league, damn. He is going to have a very short career it seems.

Sam Bowie is to Michael Jordan as Greg Oden is to Kevin Durant?

It's history all over again, when Bowie came back from injury he was doing good, than he went down again, and than his career went kaputz. Gotta really feel bad for Oden, hope that doesn't happen.

Bynum came back from TWO knee injuries. With today's million dollar man type of technology, Oden probably can too... hopefully.

I hope he can recover like Big Z did for the Cavs. He seems like such a good guy and that he doesn't deserve this at all. He was top 2 in blocks also, coming into his own. Hoping for the best and that Oden can come back and be a force.

Damn another injury? That sux for the Blazers, it wouldve been crazy if they drafted Kevin Durant and had both Durant and Roy they would be unstoppable.

Brandon Roy thinks hes the best player in the league... I really doubt he could play with Kevin Durant.

Brandon Roy might be one of the best offensive players in the league.
Even Ron-Ron says that his Off-IQ is up there with Kobe's.
IDK if Roy is better than Durant?
I know people think Durant is better than Joe Johnson and I disagree.
Johnson is better than Roy also.
Most underrated player in the league.

It's sad to see him go down with injury again. I hope all goes well for Oden.

Yao Ming = Greg Oden.
Nah Greg Oden gets injured way too much for that to be a comparison. I think its time for the Blazers to start looking for trading partners to look for some security just in case this becomes even more recurring.

I think when he comes back he will be a beast. He will be a star in the league still.
