I don't mind the Pens 3rd jerseys, I just think they could do better

I love them. I just like the throwback feel.

Last year, Pens fans hated them because they swore the jerseys were cursed. It was thought they couldn't win when they wore them. But ignorance is always a factor when dealing with people. Michel Therrien coached most of those games. When Bylsma took over, they had a winning record in the powder blues...

I wonder how the new ones will look next year. I hope they don't go with something gold that would be terrible

Ya they get a big SMH for that lol. He only had one good season and his plus/minus career total is -39.

Nah. I think he'll lose his captaincy when his contract is over with the Caps which is in 11/12 season.
Ovie said he's not ready to be the captain yet or something like that.

Even a guy like Ovechkin wouldn't say "I should be captain"

He's been the temp captain a couple of games, he knows he's gonna get the permanent C in the future

What if ovechkin can't lead? how well does he speak english? I know for geno its hard, he sounds like a retarded 5 year old. which is understandable of course, but you can't really lead a team when you can't communicate very well.
i dont know how well ovie speaks english, so i may be wrong here.

Captains have nothing to do with ability. at least they shouldnt. it should be all about who has the best morale in the clubhouse. which is why Eric Brewloler is our captain.
hes sooo bad. like the hal gill of the blues.

Ovechkin has proven he's capable of leading that team. As much as I hate to admit it, he's a good leader. He speaks english better each year btw. He can hold conversations and interviews did you not know that?

I'm not sure about this but Patrick Marleau seemed like a really quiet guy to me

I agree, I never really looked at Marleau as a leader

Maybe Rob Blake can get the team motivated and fired up for the playoffs better than Marleau could

Macinnis was for sure tho.
