Well look at the bright side, you got Heatley.

Heatley is a great player and I love him, but Cheech was my 2nd favorite player on the team. I basically died inside when i heard the "marleau for heatley" rumors.

Damn Goligoski has really stepped up since Gonchar was hurt. Letang hasn't done much, though but he's been decent.

You would think Letang would be the one to step up in Gonchar's abscence. Goligoski isn't the #2 prospect in the system for nothing

And the Wings are looking very thin...Osgood is inconsistent and this year's team can't afford it. They don't have the offensive firepower to back him up...And Howard is still "developing" apparently. I think they should give him a set amount of games(6 or so, two series), and just let him play. He never starts more than one or two games in a row, so it's hard to really judge how he will do.

That's because they are very thin, Franzen, Filppula, Lilja, and now Williams are all out long term. They needed to keep Conklin, or sign someone comparable to him in the off-season cause Howard is crap. He hasn't been worth anything for a few years now.
