I've been sayin the same since last years deadline lol

Unfortunately, I think it means we're going to see a guy like Savard leave but, if we really are seeing hte Bergy of old, I'm ok with that.
Ha yeah well it would be nice thats for sure. I think that they have to be thinking about the trade at the very least. I mean we dont have all these picks to make picks in next years draft. As PC already said he plans to move some of these picks to help us for this year and the future. One of the biggest names likely available come this deadline is going to be Kovy so here's to hoping.

Yeah but they took calls for him last year at the deadline so I dont see why they wont again this year. All I am saying is that if they put him on the block again (which I think they do) then we would have as good a chance as anyone with the picks we have. Thats all.

I doubt they'll trade him cause I think he'll re-sign.

Savard, Ference, and picks is what I've been predicting.

Am I reaching? Yeah. But, those two would work out cap wise (with the cap we saved from the Kobasew trade).

EDIT: I understand that it's probably going to take a group of young forwards with a vet and picks to make a deal.

He already said he wants to win...WITH the Thrashers
Silly us for not realizing that when a player says he wants to win with his current that means he's definitely going to stay there and do it for sure.

A little, but I suppose that Savard could be moved in some type of deal if they know they will not be able to re sign him. FWIW I wouldnt miss Ference too much.

They definitely wouldn't be able to resign Kovalchuk (obviously, if they got him) AND Savard let alone deal with Blake Wheeler and Vladimir Sobotka.

<Censored> yes. Islanders win their 1st game of the year. Lets turn this thing around.

"Eventually, it's going to turn for us," Gordon said. "If this is the start of it, then so be it."

I am surprised at the MIN jersey's too. Something a little more exciting then just their team name would have been much better.
