Allen Iverson says he's now a member of the Grizzlies.

Iverson made comments on his Twitter page Wednesday morning hinting that a deal is done.

"God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career. I met with Mr. Heinsley, Chris Wallace and my next head coach Lionel Hollins," Iverson tweeted.

A few moments later, he wrote: "I feel that they are committed to developing a winner and I know that I can help them to accomplish that. I feel that I can trust them."

Shortly after Iverson's tweets, a league source confirmed to Yahoo! Sports that he has agreed to a one-year deal with Memphis.

Bleh, it could sell tickets but I think this might hurt the youth they got.

The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Allen Iverson, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced on Thursday. “We are excited to announce the signing of Allen Iverson,” Wallace said. “He is one of the all-time great guards in the history of the NBA. This is a great day for the Grizzlies organization, our loyal fans and the city of Memphis.” A four-time NBA scoring champion and a 10-time NBA All-Star (2000-09), Iverson ranks second among active players in career scoring behind the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Shaquille O’Neal and 16th in NBA history with 23,983 career points.

How the <Censored> is Iverson-Randolph-Gay-Mayo going to work? Hell, forget Mayo and Gay, how are Zach Randolph and Allen Iverson going to work?

I don't think Memphis expects to compete, they probably just want to get some fans in the seats, and that is what AI does.

the jersey switch looked like crap, i think thats what they meant lol
it actually looks pretty good

this move has disaster written all over it.
Z-Bo, Rudy, AI, OJ.
1 ball is not enough. hell, 4 balls wouldnt be enough for these 4.

but for the first time in his career, i'm pulling for AI here.
something about him this time, idk

He doesn't look bad in those uni's. No worse than his Pistons look, or Denver.
