The Bengals receiver says he can knock out the WBC welterweight champion, but Berto offers his own translation of what will happen.

Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco uses boxing as an off-season training method and, Chad being Chad, he's duly impressed with the results.

"So when I get in the ring and knock out [Andre] Berto, and people are like, 'I didn't know Chad could fight,' I just told you," he told the Sporting News.

Berto, WBC welterweight champion, didn't take long to fire back via BoxingTalk.com. "Chad Johnson, Ochocinco, or whatever his name is, the two of us have been going back and forth for a while behind the scenes," Berto said. "I'm here to say that when his season is over, which should be before the playoffs start, I'll give him the beating of his life. . . . By the time I'm done with him, he'll want to change his last name to No Mas."
Andre is, 26-0, as a professional boxer and trains at Tigers World in Winter Haven, Florida.

His brother Edson is RFC Welterweight Champion, and his sister Nana is 3-0 in the RFC.

Berto is one of the best boxers that people dont know much about, no way Ocho Cinco lasts a round.

Very true, he was ESPN.'s Boxing Prospect of the Year in "06.

Nevertheless, Boxing in general has seemingly fallen off the face of the earth, it's kind of sad.

Berto is an amazing fighter and always puts on one hell of a show.

I don't know why Cincinnati would ever let this happen

what do they have to lose? carson gets hurt every year anyway
That's what happens when you don't have an offensive line. It sucks too because he could be such a great QB but Cincinnati just doesn't have the right pieces around him.

Actually, in 2005 when they finished 11-5 and won the division they had a really good offensive line. But, now they've either went to a different team or retired. I do know I'm getting really tired of Carson Palmer being injured every year, it's ridiculous.
