Pro Football Talk - Michael Vick may have already violated the terms of his reinstatement into the NFL by drinking alcohol.

The New York Post reported last week that after his return to the practice field Vick "sat in a corner booth ... in the Riverbend Bar & Grill, sipping on a Grey Goose and pineapple juice and talking with two friends."

Vick's conditional reinstatement contains a prohibition against the use of drugs and alcohol.

Wtf? That's part of his reinstatement? He can't even drink with his friends in a bar? Wow talk about being in the doghouse.

im sorry but dog fighting=loss of drinking privilege?

from what i read 1 drink with friends...come on
He signed the paper knowing that this was one of things he'd have to do if he's reinstated. I like Vick a lot but you think he'd know better.

He probably forgot. It has been awhile since he has been in the NFL and all. I didn`t know this was part of his reinstatement though.

Seriously, people are holding this dogfighting stuff against him wayyyyy too much now. Its a terrible crime sure and he never should have funded it but seriously...he served his time for it. He's paid his debt to society so just leave it at that

This is a totally diffferent situation. Ok he drank alcohol...I'm pretty sure he would have done the same thing at home. I bet he did it before and no one said anything either

+1

If this becomes something huge, and he has to dit out more games, or loses his place with the Eagles, idk, that sht would be retarded.

Your not allowed to use drugs or alcohol while on probation. That policy applies to everyone and is pretty common knowledge.

USATODAY:
Michael Vick's mentor, Tony Dungy, scolded the Eagles quarterback for drinking in public after the New York Post revealed he was drinking Grey Goose and pineapple juice in a Philadelphia airport bar.

"Michael, you can't do that," Dungy told Vick, via SI.com's Peter King.

Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko told the Philadelphia Inquirer that drinking alcohol is "not in conflict with terms of (Vick's) probation or reinstatement with the NFL."

Dungy relayed to King that even though alcohol may not be completely banned, he must not present a negative image. Said King, "He can't give the media or the public any ammunition to suggest he isn't doing everything he can to live a clean life and devote himself totally to football."
In a letter to Vick upon his conditional reinstatement on July 27, commissioner Roger Goodell told the quarterback that "prohibitions regarding drug and alcohol use" were included in as conditions.

Vick is eligible to play in this week's preseason game against the Jaguars. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said he expects head coach Andy Reid to make a decision on whether Vick will play on Tuesday.

Update: NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told PFT of Vick: "I am not aware of any violations to the terms of his reinstatement."
