If this happens the NFL needs to ASAP introduce the rookie salary thing like the NBA has. Same with MLB. MLB and NFL agents are the biggest <Censored>es in the world
I agree. I love Crabtree, but I will lose all respect for him if he does this.

honestly i hate these <Censored>ing rookies that demand a massive contract before they have done anything in the nfl to deserve it. if they dont sign they should just not be allowed back in the draft and screwed for a year. do they really have to be that greedy. its not like he will be poor by taking what they offer him. these rookies need a slap to the face to wake them up. hes starting to tarnish his career in a way before it begins.

i still stand by the belief that the nfl needs a rookie salary cap. the contracts these guys get is ridiculous. you could get an established veteran for less and veterans get ripped off.
Its pisses us off as fans but honestly, its the systems fault. If I am Crabtree, I am thinking along the same lines and I am trying to get paid as much as I can & as fan as I can. Crabree could tear up his knee is camp and career over ASAP. At the same token, he could end up being a bust & all he has to show for an NFL career is the money he was paid in his initial contract.

Don't hate the player fellas...hate the game.

ya but crabtree is the one <Censored>ing about not being paid like he was the first wr drafted. he feels he should because he was the mock consensus number 1. the fact is he wasnt. so he needs to shut up and take the contract.

Next year rookies are going to have some sort of cap, right? Why wouldn't he take the money this year..With his actions this year, I doubt he'll get drafted as high as he did this year.

Quit being greedy and get on the practice field.

This clown is literally trying to negotiate his contract based off of mock drafts.
That's what I said when I saw this. How is he demanding top 3 money, when he was drafted 10th. There is a reason you were drafted that low, and you should be paid accordingly. Also it's not like the contract he is most likely getting offered now is going to be terrible.

He won't be picked as high as he got picked this year. He's a big bust.

The latest..

A "highly-placed NFL source" recently told the San Jose Mercury News that Michael Crabtree isn't likely to sign until close to the 49ers' Sept. 13 season opener.
Both sides are entrenching. Crabtree isn't going to sit out the season, but his agent won't budge from his slot-busting demands until he's forced to. If Crabtree wants to sign before September, a change in representation may be his only option. Meanwhile, the outrageous demands have also the kept the No. 8, 9, and 11 picks from signing.
