He can get more money in the first year of a new contract next season. Plus he is a drama queen so he'll wait, even if he did plan to re-sign with the Cavs. But once he doesnt sign an extension this off-season, ESPN will blow up the story and say he's leaving for New York.

Yea with Cuban, we really just need a down to earth coach..... I think Avery just became too strict with our players and they werent into that type of coaching.

Von Wafer just signed a 2-year contract with Olympiakos. The amount wasn't revealed, but I know the Rockets weren't willing to give him as much as he wanted. He has a 1-year opt out only if returning to the NBA

The Jazz say they aren't in a rush to trade Carlos Boozer, but the forward's jerseys are on sale at the team's stores.

Utah's chain of team stores has reduced the price of Boozer's jerseys by fifty percent. The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that all varieties and sizes are available.

Jerseys of Deron Williams, Paul Millsap, Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur remain at full price.

Maurice Cheeks is returning to the coaching ranks as an assistant with the Thunder.

Cheeks has served as the coach of the 76ers and Trail Blazers in his post-playing career.

Rex Kalamian, a longtime league assistant, is also joining the team's staff.

"We are thrilled to add Maurice and Rex to our coaching staff," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said, according to the Associated Press. "They bring a wealth of NBA experience and solid work ethic that will help our players continued development."

The Timberwolves and representatives for guard Ricky Rubio are reportedly still working to get the guard to the NBA this coming season.

The Pioneer Press is reporting that Rubio already has $600,000 in endorsements lined up should he join Minnesota.

Rubio's DKV Joventut contract has a $6.6 million buyout, but the number is expected to be negotiated down significantly.

The Kings signed Sean May to a one-year, $884,881 deal last month, but a portion of a contract isn't guaranteed.

Sources told the Boston Globe that $100,000 of the deal, which is worth the veteran's minimum for a player with four years of NBA experience, is tied to May's weight.

The former Bobcat will receive the $100,000 if he reports to training camp or begins the season at or below 265 pounds.
