Way to pick a good team to end your career with Amani.

Toomer should give new Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel another quality target and provide leadership to a group of young receivers who don't have much experience.
Plus it's a one year deal. We're not going for the Super Bowl this year, we're building the foundation and we are bringing in veterans like Toomer who are the players we want our young players to turn in too.

I wish Amani would have finished his career in NY, and make it easier for Eli to transition into life w/o Plax, but this is a solid pickup for the Chiefs. He can still make plays.

I hope with this signing we can release darling or jeff webb. I dont expect much but veteran leadership out of amani. Anything else would be good.

Yeah Bobby Engram is gonna be the vocal leader veteran on the WR core. Engram and Toomer both have that worth ethic though

btw- i heard that jeff webb is all but gone now

Yeah. I want to believe it, but it's LJ, he could go out and do something stupid in the next couple of weeks. But I'm happy to see him saying stuff like that.

I wish Toomer would have stayed out of football and retired a New York Giant! Seeing Amani playing in a Chiefs uniform will be strange and to make things worse the Giants face the Chiefs this year!

Yea he shouldve retired a Giant. He already got his ring and made a big impact in NY, but I guess he wants to move on and help another team somehow. I cant wait to face the Chiefs this year and see him, lol.

Yeah I guess but watch him burn us for 137 yards and 2 TD's, it all be good as long as the Giants win the game!
