why did no one talk about shawn merriman getting suspended but everyone hates manny?

btw AE, is Ibanez gonna play in the ASG?
Ibanez says his groin isn't bothering him for the first time in weeks & he played half a Triple-A game last night.

I think b/c its his first ASG & b/c he feels no pain, he will play. Barring any setback, all systems are a "go".

Me and my father were talking about Manny last night and he told me how drugged up Manny looks even without steroids. And I came to the realization that he does look like a pothead or he must be on something that is not steroid related.

1st K was questionable.

2nd K was definitely outside the strike zone.

After another awful loss in a season already full of them before the All-Star break, David Wright stood in the home clubhouse Tuesday night at Citi Field and blasted the Mets for the way they've been playing. They were the best hacks Wright has taken all week.

"I just think we stink right now, we're just not very good," Wright said after the Mets' sickly 8-0 loss to the Dodgers. "When you don't pitch, you don't hit, you don't play defense, you're not going to win very many games. We're not playing very good baseball. ... I don't think anybody's having very much fun right now."
This is EXACTLY what I wanted from Wright. THANK YOU!!! Finally someone has the balls to say something.......

1-0 Dodgers.
And seriously...this might be where the cookie crumbles Mets

BTW, I really think the Giants could get a Roy Halladay type of player with the pitching and hitting prospects they have but I'd be damned if they even tried to give up that talent lol

The Mets have more injuries than any other team in baseball, Im going to wait until the pieces come back before I make an assesment. When you lose a Top 3 SS, a Top 2 CF, and #4 hitter your bench players get exposed.

They haven't had more injuries then the Indians but it doesn't get brought up since we aren't in New York.

lmao, are you serious...... Please dont bring this Big City BS into the equation because its not true. Vmart has played 82 games, Hafner isnt even a semblance of his former self, and Peralta has played 74 games.

There is no comparison between the Indians and Mets.

Mets lost a SS who can steal 60+ bases, a 35+ HR 100 RBI guy, a GG CF with 30+ HR and 100+ RBI, and they lost 2 SP's. It hasnt been brought up because unlike my team, YOUR team is already out of it.

Sizemore played the beginning of the year injured then missed a lot, Asdrubal Cabrera went on the DL and is finally back, Jake Westbrook has been on the DL all year, Aaron Laffey, Scott Lewis, Anthony Reyes, 3 starters who all went on the DL, all replaced each other in the rotation at one time, Rafael Betancourt our best reliever, went on the DL, Hafner is actually hitting .280 with 9 homers in his 38 games, so he has been good when he has been healthy, which has been less the half the year, Joe Smith who we expected to be very good out of the pen against righties, was injured for a while, not to mention the command issues with Carmona.

But yea nothing big here involving injuries.

Besides Sizemore who is a significant cog for the Indians, all those other players that you mentioned are scrubs. Theyre nobodies. Cabrera hasnt played a full season, Laffey hasnt pitched a full year and his 4.26 career ERA is very valuable, Lewis has pitched 28 IP in the Majors, Betancurt had a 5.06 ERA last year so to say you were expecting big things out of him I just dont have words for that. Ok maybe nvm on Rafael since he had a good 2007. And Smith was decent for the Mets, but nothing special. Yea, youve had injuries but all those injuries are guys who arent difference makers for the Indians to make the playoffs.

Talk to me when they lose Peralta, Vmart, and Hafner.

They're all scrubs? Please follow the MLB more because you know absolutley nothing outside of the Mets.
Jake Westbrook is a very good pitcher, he was our best pitcher in the 2007 playoffs, and was set to have a great year last season, but he had Tommy John surgery so he has been out.
Aaron Laffey, Scott Lewis and Anthony Reyes all looked like potential very good pitchers, who pitched well in small stints with the Indians.
Rafael Betancourt started slow this season but picked it up and showed his dominant force, then got hurt.
Asdrubal Cabrera was batting .320 before he got hurt, he was sent down to the Minors last season, he got called up and then hit .400 in the last month of the season, not to mention he is a gold glove caliber Short Stop.

I know nothing? Ok, yea because your small market BS hasnt gotten old. Your the same person who on this thread <Censored>es about every insignificant call that doesnt go the Indians way. Or did you forget that YOU were the one who said MLB was out to get the Indians? Give me a <Censored>ing break......

All those players have POTENTIAL. Potential gets you nowhere, they have done NOTHING in the majors. So because a player has a great September all of a sudden his injury is more significant than a first baseman who hit 500 HR's and is a sure HOF'er? Besides your boy Sizemore, Beltran is arguably the best CF'er in the game. And Reyes, the guy is a speed demon and almost ANY team in baseball would love to have that caliber of a SS, just ask A-rod.......

Because of the Tommy John surgery, I wouldn't exactly factor in Westbrook as an injury problem. He hasn't had his chance to show whether or not he'd be a factor.

Laffey was pitching decent out of the bullpen but he's been out since May 22nd and I don't think the Indians were contending then either.

Lewis has only missed a couple weeks but, even then, he wasn't anything to write home about with a 5.03 ERA

Reyes is similar to Laffey in that he hasn't played since May 22nd but idk what signs of decent pitching you saw, giving up more than 3 runs in almost half of his 8 starts.

Yea I've been complaining about a call every game... There have been many calls that were questionable in Indians games that have been costly. But it happens with every team, and it was a joke when I said they were out to get the Indians. You are the one who always jokes around with your smart ass comments so if I were you I wouldn't criticizing people for joking around.

Anthony Reyes had an ERA under 2 in his starts he had with us after we traded for him. He was very good for us, and looked to be a contributor. Aaron Laffey was pitching good for us as a starter, then we moved him to the bullpen because of our problems there. Westbrook has had a good career, and he was more then just good in that September.. But, you probably have no idea who he is.

I'm not watching but I assume they're losing since you're asking and already know the score.
