The Nets are "said to be willing to part with point guard Devin Harris" to land the second overall pick in next Thursday's NBA Draft.
I dont understand the thinking behind this if its true, trade a proven young PG for an unproven, IMO less talented one?

This would be a dumb move on so many levels. Take the deal Memphis...

Even though Harris is very good this isn't a very smart move for either team to be honest. You don't have enough shots to go around Harris, Mayo, and Gay. They all demand the ball so much and need a lot of shots. And I don't see the point for the Nets. But this deal won't happen.

not necessarily, they just need to develop a chemistry. but yeah you're right about this deal most likely not happening.

Wow, Devin Harris - Rudy Gay - OJ Mayo

IDK about you guys, but that sounds scary

I hope it happens so it evens out the Kidd trade :p

Absolutely not a good deal if it's a straight up deal, but maybe if they could package together like

Nets Get:
2nd pick
Mike Conley
An Expiring Contract

Grizz Get:
Devin Harris
Yi

If I were Memphis I'd throw in a second rounder too. They would be the future. But I doubt this is true at all.

Nets officials denied a report they’ve offered Devin Harris to the Grizzlies for the #2 pick. “No way,” one source told the Post. “Absolutely nothing to that,” said another. “Just not true,” said a third. Acquiring the second pick would’ve given the Nets a choice of anyone in the draft other than Blake Griffin. The Nets didn’t deny a report the Cavs called about Vince Carter, but said a trade is unlikely.

The Nets have got 99 problems but a point aint one....

Yeah, sorry about that. Good to see this wont happen on the Nets side of things, Rubio would be far too young and raw to run that team. I couldn't see him playing well with Carter (if Carter stayed). Pity for Memphis that it didn't go through.

Rubio is too overhyped. I dont see anything impressive about him really. He does have potential, but not that much.
